I’m Edwin, the President of the UCL Economics and Finance Society (UCL EFS) for our landmark 70th anniversary this year. As the largest society at UCL with over 2,500 active members and a following of more than 20,000, we are dedicated to ‘Encouraging Future Successes’ by connecting the world’s brightest talents with enriching careers in finance and economics.

This year, more than ever, we are committed to providing an engaging platform that not only offers access to the best career opportunities but also enriches your academic and social experience. Our diverse and well-balance activities range from high-profile speaker panels, office visits and skills workshops to lively social events that ensure an enjoyable and productive time at university.

I’m Dorian – your director for Alumni Relations this year. I, alongside my highly dedicated VP’s, Danya, Flora and Michelle, look forward to hosting many exciting events over the upcoming year. Our main aim is to build upon the work done in the previous year and use it to host various networking events and workshops, involving our prestigious alumni. In addition to all the events, we will continue expanding our ever-growing database of alumni, making it easier for our members and other divisions to connect with EFS’s numerous alumni. Our goal this year is to give all our members a chance to gain valuable insights into various industries and create lasting relationships with our highly achieving alumni. The Alumni Relations team and I can not wait to embark on the journey of achieving this goal.

My name is Andy Liu, and I am honoured to serve as your Director of Business for the upcoming year. Alongside my Vice Presidents, Ernest, Shreyan, and Dia, we are excited to host business-related events in private equity, consulting, and entrepreneurship.

As we approach the 70th anniversary of our society, we plan to use this milestone to expand our business connections with successful start-ups and seniors from leading consulting firms. We will invite them to our panels, where they can share their journeys to business success. Additionally, we will closely collaborate with the Economics Division, Finance Division, and other societies across London universities to create an interconnected community.

Client Relations

Responsible for drawing up sponsorship proposals, pitching to potential sponsors and organising any relevant corporate events.

Director's Message

Recent university graduates can often help to form a critical part of any workforce. This is well understood by the EFS Client Relations division. Our team of dedicated relationship experts, consisting of myself, VPs Aryan, Dhruv and Cameron and executive, Bella are tasked with fostering existing and building new partnerships with prominent companies in the financial sector. Our main goals are to help connect them with our diverse membership pool of talented students, host on campus events and broaden outreach.


This year, in light of our 70th anniversary, we have prepared our most ambitious sponsorship proposal to date. With sponsorship bands scaling from a competitive £1000 - £2000, the Client Relations team is well equipped to cater to any request a sponsor may have. Firms that we have previously partnered with include: Point72, KPMG, D.E Shaw and PJT Partners.
I look forward to continuing the existing partnerships formed by my predecessors and paving the way for new partnerships in the 2024/2025 academic year and beyond.

I, alongside my VPs, Arun Giri, Adeeb Ali, and Elena Xu, are committed to providing you with an enriching and rewarding financial experience. Whether you’re a first-year student navigating the world of finance or a seasoned senior, we have something for you.

Our aim is to go beyond the events conducted in previous years, not only expanding the range of events but also increasing their frequency to ensure that there is always something to gain from being a part of EFS. I intend to launch a series of finance workshops and networking sessions aimed at both new and experienced members, boosting financial literacy and helping all members excel in obtaining their future careers.

We, Ekaterina Linde and Allegra Negri, are thrilled to serve as your Directors of Mentorship for the upcoming year. Alongside our VPs, Isabella Chen, Beatriz Silva, and Mohammed Abid, we are dedicated to supporting you in securing opportunities within the financial services industry. Having secured numerous spring week positions ourselves, we are eager to share our experiences and insights from the application process.

This year, our mentorship program will focus on enhancing mentor-mentee communication and hosting skill development sessions for the later stages of the application process. As we launch this year's mentorship scheme, we have several exciting division-wide events planned, including an interview masterclass and speaker panels from top investment banking, asset management, and consulting firms. We strongly encourage mentees and members to fully leverage these opportunities to advance towards their career goals.

Recognising the immense pressure faced by students, especially those aspiring to enter the finance industry, it is crucial that they have opportunities to relax and enjoy their downtime. By creating an inclusive and supportive environment, we aim to encourage students who may be struggling with university life to participate in these socials and feel comfortable opening up about any challenges they encounter. I’m Keanu, your Director of Technology for this year. I, alongside with my talented VP’s, Eric, Samuel, Jack and Kai are excited to host a variety of engaging events in the upcoming year. Our primary goal is to provide all divisions with the technological support necessary to facilitate their activities seamlessly. Our activities include creating and maintaining the website, implementing our automated ticketing system and utilising AI for various activities.


In addition to our supportive role, we are committed to organising events featuring speakers from the FinTech industry. These events will offer valuable networking opportunities with professionals from this increasingly important field, as well as with like-minded individuals who share our passion for technology and innovation.
